For my 2nd year project at university, we had to interpret a film called Blue by Derek Jarman. The original movie is a blue screen for the whole 2 hours, which portrays his struggle of his battle with aids. Jarman had to take medicine in order to cure him, which would give his eyesight a blue tint, eventually turning him blind. In my book, I depicted his struggle with aids and blindness through the use of ink, with a new blue ink spot splattered on the page, until it eventually covers up all of his words, making it difficult to read.
